Financial Planning Engagement Program
Business Planning: We provide consulting services for clients who currently operate their own business, are considering starting a business or are planning for an exit from their business. We cover areas such as financial planning, succession planning and investments.
Cash Flow and Debt Management: We will review your income and expenses to determine your current surplus or deficit along with advice on prioritizing how any surplus should be used or how to reduce expenses if they exceed your income. Advise on which debts to pay off first.
College Savings: As the cost of education continues to rise, deciding how to pay for college becomes an issue you have to plan for. We provide advice by projecting the amount that will be needed to achieve college or other postsecondary educational funding goals and on ways for you to save accordingly.
Employee Benefits Optimization: A review and analysis as to whether you as an employee are taking the maximum advantage possible of your employee benefits.
Estate Planning: We conduct an analysis of your exposure to estate taxes and your current estate plan. We recommend you consult with a qualified estate planning attorney when creating, updating or amending your plan.
Financial Goals: We will help you identify your financial goals and develop a plan to reach them. We will identify what you plan to accomplish, what resources you will need to make it happen, how much time you will need to reach your goals, and how much you should budget for them.
Retirement Planning: We will help you determine what retirement looks like based on how much you've saved taking into account your living expenses, life expectancy and spending habits. We'll examine typical factors that can derail your retirement plans and advise on appropriate distribution strategies to minimize the likelihood of running out of money or having to adversely alter spending during your retirement years. We'll cover topics such as estate planning, time horizon, risk tolerance and strategies to optimize your social security benefits.
Risk Management: A risk management review includes an analysis of your exposure to major risks that could have a significant adverse impact on your financial picture. Events such as premature death, disability, property and casualty losses, or the need for long‐term care planning are things to keep in mind.
Tax Planning Strategies: We discuss ways to minimize current and future income taxes as a part of your overall financial planning. We recommend that you consult with a qualified tax professional before initiating any tax planning strategy.
